Beachcombers Academy offers quality academics in an inspired learning environment.
Beachcombers is a BC independent school and child care facility that offers child care (age 30 months to school age) and kindergarten to grade 7. It is operated by Beachcombers Education Society, a registered non-profit. It is located in the beautiful Baynes Sound Region which includes the Comox Valley and Lighthouse District on Vancouver Island. We respectfully acknowledge that the Comox Valley is on the unceded Traditional Territory of the K'òmoks First Nations.
Our regionally-inspired curriculum includes coastal ecology and sciences, coastal sports and water safety . Our program engages the heart, mind, and spirit of the child with beautiful and gentle learning environments and a tangible connection to nature. The school offers a healthy and respectful environment. Small class sizes ensure individual attention to the needs of each child.
At Beachcombers Academy quality academics are valued. Beachcombers Academy provides an excellent language arts program and supports early literacy. It has strong math and science programs from kindergarten through grade 7. Students who graduate from Beachcombers transition to other programs with a solid academic foundation.

Species research during Coastal Science.
Students from kindergarten to grade 7 participate in many fieldtrips during Coastal Studies. Field trips may include coastal science, coastal culture and history, coastal recreation and art gallery and museum programs.
Beachcombers middle school program offers high academic standards and an enriched program, including additional Coastal Studies programming.
Beachcombers Academy offers an exceptional, affordable educational experience consistent with BC Ministry of Education curriculum standards. Quality academics are balanced with visual arts, experiential learning, outdoor recreation and our Respect & Kindness program.
Beachcombers staff use innovative and proven teaching methods with the aim of raising children who are self-motivated active learners. Our vision is to raise self-confident, thoughtful, and spirited youth who have respect for themselves, the natural environment, and the community. We enable youth to think creatively, act responsibly and be contributing community members.
