Welcome to Beachcombers Community School
We are excited to announce the formation of our new elementary school and pre-school in the beautiful Baynes Sound region of Vancouver Island. Our regionally-inspired curriculum includes West Coast/BC children’s literature, coastal ecology and sciences, organic farming, water safety and coastal sports.
Our program engages the heart, mind, and spirit of the child with beautiful and gentle learning environments, natural and non-toxic materials, and a connection to nature. Small class sizes ensure individual attention to the needs of each child.
We are offering an exceptional, affordable educational experience consistent with BC Ministry of Education curriculum standards. Quality academics are balanced with visual arts, music, outdoor recreation, physical movement, and languages.
We are using innovative teaching methods with the aim of raising children who are self-motivated active learners. Our vision is to raise self-confident, thoughtful, and spirited youth who have respect for themselves, the natural environment, and the community. We enable youth to think creatively, act responsibly and be contributing community members.
