Digging in soil and watching a sprout grow into a beautiful sunflower is a wondrous learning experience for a young child. Through this hands-on approach to science, children learn where our food comes from, gain an understanding of the seasons, and explore the human connection to the earth.
We are also pleased to take students on-site to farms. Over the years, students have visited many farms in the Comox Valley. They have witnessed chicks hatching, organic vegetable production, and learned about crop rotation.
Garden beds full will cosmos, lettuce, spinach and herbs.
