Beachcombers' Monday Program
Beachcombers Monday Program is offered to provide full-time Beachcombers students with a Monday option; and to provide homeschool and distance education students an opportunity to enjoy a one-day-a-week program.
This program will only run if there are enough students to support the program. Most years there is insufficient interest.
The program will include self-directed academics with academic support, lots of outdoor time, art projects and other fun activities.
During the self-directed portion of the day, students can bring in academic projects to work on and have the assistance of the teacher. This is a good opportunity to catch up on academics and receive extra support in a particular subject. A small class size enables individualized attention. Students may also bring in art projects, a good book or other self-directed activity. Younger students may access Montessori equipment and art supplies will be available for all students.
The program is open to students from preschool to grade 7 and will operate as a multi-age environment. The program will be open to full-time Beachcombers students; and to home-school and distant-education students who may be registered in other programs.
Beachcombers School offers a lovely ocean-view environment and a relaxed and joyful atmosphere. Beachcombers School is like a second home for students. The Beachcombers Monday program will retain the values of Beachcombers' regular school program.
The hours of operation will be 8:30 to 3:00 each Monday throughout the Beachcombers school year, except for statutory and school holidays. This program requires a minimum number of students to run.
There is no school bus service on Mondays.
