School & Grounds
Our ocean-view school is a joy to be in!
The school was completely renovated in 2011. A secondary renovation was completed in 2015, adding a beautiful new preschool room and deck. A third renovation completed in 2026 has added additional child care classes and primary classes upstairs.
We have used natural and low-VOC building materials and prioritized healthy building practice. This includes natural Marmoleum flooring, low-VOC paint and finishes, recycled and low-VOC insulation, and state-of-the art ventilations system for healthy indoor air quality. Seismic upgrades have been part of each renovation.

The grounds are over an acre, providing lots of room for students to run and play.
The playground includes a combination of landscaped play areas, a student garden and play structures including swings and slide.
The school also uses the grounds and gym at the Fanny Bay Hall, which is just 5 minutes south of the school.

With beautiful ocean views from every classroom and the play area, this is a charming and lovely environment for our students. Our Pearl Child Care room has a stunning stained glass art installation by Ted Goodden.
Eagles can often be seen from school grounds; there is always a connection to nature from our school.
