We are very excited to announce that Beachcombers has been short-listed for a $20,000 "out door classroom" grant! We are one of only a handful of schools from across Canada to be short-listed, and the only school in BC! The final winner is determined by on-line voting. WE NEED YOUR VOTE!
Beachcombers is proposing making a "peace" garden that will include an outdoor garden and science classroom, including composting centre and water feature. We are also proposing a stone circle, that will function as an outdoor classroom for community circles and teaching. Let's give our beautiful new school, equally beautiful outdoor classrooms!

As a small school with small student numbers, we are at a disadvantage. WE NEED EVERY VOTE. The advantage we have is our school spirit: we really are the "Little School That Could". Let's keep up this tradition and win this grant!
